Is Pause free?

Pause is free to download, and your first completed break is free without creating an account. After that one break, continued access to the movement and breathing library and reminder setup requires a Pause Plus subscription: US $4.99 a month or $12.99 every three months. There is no free trial that quietly turns into a charge, and nothing is billed until you choose a plan in the app.

What the free break includes

The free break is a real, complete break: a guided routine with the written steps, the five-second get-ready countdown and the timer, with no account and no card. It is meant to show you exactly what Pause is like before you decide anything.

What Pause Plus includes

Pause Plus keeps the full library open: the three curated routines (Desk reset, Stay seated and Stretch + walk), all eleven individual movements, both breathing practices, and the optional workday reminders. Routines are bundled with the app, so they keep working offline once your subscription is active.

Why we say the price before you download

One of the most common complaints in stretching app reviews is “it says free but you can’t do anything without paying.” We would rather you know the price here, on this page, than find it out after a download. The App Store shows the same pricing before any purchase, and Apple manages the subscription.

Common questions

Does the free break start a subscription?

No. The free break does not start a trial or a subscription. A Pause Plus subscription begins only when you choose a plan and confirm the purchase with Apple.

Do I need an account for the free break?

No. An account is needed only when you subscribe, so that your subscription can be restored on another iPhone. You can sign in with Apple, Google or email.

Is there a free trial?

No. Pause uses one free completed break instead of a timed trial, so there is no trial end date to remember and nothing to cancel.
