This policy covers the Pause iPhone app and this website, operated by KCO Partners LLC. This website does not offer sign-in or purchases.
Pause stores reminder schedules, preferred activities, seated-break preferences, an interrupted session, and limited local completion/day counts and review-request dates. Those counts help time an occasional Apple review prompt; they are not sent to KCO Partners LLC, RevenueCat or your employer. A separate local flag records use of the free introductory break and survives preference reset or sign-out.
When you create a Pause account, KCO Partners LLC processes your email address, account and sign-in provider identifiers, and a secure password hash if you choose email sign-in. Before email signup is verified, a temporary request holds your email address, password hash and hashed verification code. It expires after 20 minutes unless a new code is requested; expired requests are removed by background maintenance. An account is created only after email ownership is verified. Apple and Google process information involved in their sign-in services. Pause’s account API uses Vercel and a separate Neon database. Resend is the configured email-delivery provider for verification and recovery messages. These providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, device information and service logs to provide and secure their services. Google’s sign-in SDK declares collection of name, email, phone number, user and device identifiers, approximate location, usage information and other service data for sign-in functionality and service analytics. An IP address may be used to estimate approximate location; Pause does not request access to your device’s location services. Pause does not send your movement history to them.
Apple processes subscription payments. RevenueCat processes your Pause account identifier, purchase history, subscription status and technical device information to validate purchases, restore access and provide subscription analytics. Pause does not send RevenueCat your name, email address or movement activity, and does not receive your payment card details. Apple may retain transaction records under its own policies after you delete a Pause account.
Pause has no advertising, user posts, employer dashboard or movement-analytics service. KCO Partners LLC does not sell your personal information or share your activity with employers. Pause does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, precise location, calendar, Bluetooth or Apple Health data.
Reminders and walking-completion notifications are scheduled locally. You control notification permission and can turn reminders off. An occasional review request uses Apple’s native review interface after repeated use. Apple controls whether it appears and processes any review you choose to submit.
Active account records are retained while the account exists and deleted when an authenticated account-deletion request succeeds. Short-lived verification, reset and session records expire; background maintenance removes expired records. A hashed deletion receipt remains for up to 24 hours to support safe retries. Minimal encrypted Apple-revocation records and RevenueCat customer-cleanup records remain until their requests succeed. Backups and security logs may retain earlier records according to provider retention settings and legal requirements; contact us for details. Deletion of a Pause account does not cancel or refund an Apple subscription. Device backups follow your Apple settings. Signing out clears local preferences; a saved session is available for up to 12 hours. Deleting the app does not by itself delete your server account.
If you contact support@pauseforwork.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. We use it to help with your request and keep necessary support records. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your personal information or support correspondence; information required by law may be retained. Please do not send medical records, passwords or payment details.
This website does not create accounts, accept payments or include advertising, a contact form or analytics added by KCO Partners LLC. Its hosting provider processes technical request information to deliver and protect the website. External websites, sign-in providers, Apple purchases and optional Apple diagnostic sharing are subject to those providers’ privacy policies and your settings.
